Spooktacular stories to thrill and chill

I love this time of year. Autumn is in full swing, lawns are decorated with all things spooktastic, children’s giggles echo down streets, and scary stories are told around campfires.

Ghostly Writes Anthology is one of those proverbial campfires, and when I was invited to write a short story for the collection I decided to jump on board. I submerged myself in all things terrifying and spooky to explore what it really is I fear and how I can translate that horror onto the page. An idea came to me in the middle of the night, as ideas are wont to do, and I cobbled together a thrilling story that takes place in one of my favorite, self-created, fictional town of Havencrest, where all things spooky and terrifying live, including the vengeful spirit of a murdered daughter.

The blog tour for Ghostly Writes Anthology rolls on. Here is another blog post about this fab anthology featuring 26 authors and their short stories. The eBook is free and there’s a paperback available too . Lock the doors, close the blinds, check under the bed and in the wardrobes, settle in front of the fire with a lovely drink and prepared to go on a roller coaster of a ride…be afraid, be very afraid.
